A Man Failing to Live by the Virtues He Chose to Possess
A man failing to live by the virtues
he chose to possess. A look in the mirror is distorted by his own mind. Who can you trust when you don't trust your reflection? Is anybody out there? Who has the power? Is it me? Is it you? Is it independent of us? How can it be? So many people and none of us can see. The truth slips through our minds' filters and warps and distorts naturally.
A man failing to live by the virtues he chose to possess.
Is he worthy of his virtues? In the end, his choices define his character. The man who fails to live up to his own standards fails nobody but himself. A man who fails to live up to the standards of his peers fails nobody but his peers. A man who fails to live up to society's standards fails society. It's tempting to live according to nature but those who live up to nature's standards may fall outside of the standards of others, or, perhaps, their own standards.
Again, a man failing to live by the virtues he chose to possess.
Standards contradict and conflict is inevitable. Look at the virtues he chooses. to possess. If he fails by them, he must be uncertain of them. So what are they?
