Clarity
Felt myself getting caught up with petty insecurities
Ruminating on what you mean to me
I stifle these thoughts the way my tongue stutters speech
I think of you in the same way I dream
Idealizing in the realm of philosophical belief
And feeling a feeling I've never felt before
The way my head starts to float with my feet on the floor
I remember your beauty, I remember your grace
I remember the words written with elegant taste
And the laugh that blushes your pretty face
The details of which I can not erase
I've seldom occupied this empty space
The one with endless possibility
And my vision blurs my ability to see
The reality of how you feel about me
Take my hand, teach me to be free
I'll teach you the same in return
But, damn, I struggle with clarity
